Waiting In Joyful Hope

On the first Sunday of Advent (Nov 27) we begin our Liturgical year.  You have already started seeing Christmas decorations going up! The season is about adventus – the coming. It is a time to prepare our hearts for the coming of Christ child in our midst. Traditionally you will see an Advent wreath. Its evergreen circle and four candles reflect the passage of Advent season. The sacrament of Reconciliation is celebrated as we prepare a welcome for the Lord and free our hearts of sin and fill it with joy!

Students will receive an Advent calendar with suggested actions to prepare each day as we move towards Christmas Day! Here is a link for families to pray each day of Advent in anticipation of Christ’s birth.
